About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR and H&S Administrator to cover a 15-month maternity leave. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day HR operations and support Health & Safety initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of HR processes, and an understanding of health and safety regulations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment. This position will be exposed to a wide range of daily activities and their jobārelated duties are summarized as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
HUMAN RESOURCES
Full cycle recruitment including: Posting and maintaining available positions, pre-screening to qualify applicants, coordinate candidate interviews and prepare interview packages, interview, with department managers and complete offers of employment.
Perform new hire orientations and assist with the employee on-boarding process
Maintain, update and track employee records
Maintain annual performance review process
Complete offboarding including: Ensuring resignation letters are provided, drafting termination and layoff letters, attending termination and layoff meetings, and completing exit interviews
Support various HR initiatives and activities including but not limited to employee satisfaction surveys, social events, and other activities
Administration of benefits plan in conjunction with payroll
Other duties as required
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Draft monthly and quarterly safety meeting minutes
Maintain Health and Safety documentation including hazard assessments, toolbox talks, safety meeting minutes, incident and investigation reports.
Assist in the completion of annual COR audits and coordinate external audits as required
Assist in the completion of monthly and quarterly workplace inspections
Maintain and coordinate testing of emergency response program
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1+ years of HR administrative or relevant experience considered an asset
Previous direct experience with Health & Safety is consider an asset
Prior exposure to construction or manufacturing industry an asset
Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline an asset
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Professional, discreet and able to deal with confidential information and records
